Contacting Your Congress About Bailout/Bailout Has Mass Pork
The Campaign for Liberty has everything you need right here. If the dollar means anything to you PLEASE contact your congressman and tell them you will NOT support them in an election if they vote ‘yea’ for the bail-out.
The site has a list for your senator AND representative. Send the letter to both of them. While you’re at it, and if you have the time, please call them as well. We need to tell our representatives they need to REPRESENT us and vote nay.
With that said, has anyone been following the new bill? It is now a gargantuan 435 pages. What congressman read the entire bill? Especially a document written by lawyers that was that long? Not only that, but the new bill is filled with pork. In Glenn Beck’s recent editorial from his web page, he discussed the pork that has been placed in the bill:
Section 325 provides essential tax breaks for the wool research fund. What else do we need to know! Could we make sandwiches out of wool? No! Sweaters! What else do you need to know about wool! Section 503 gives tax breaks for the manufacturer of wooden arrows used in toys for children. Price tag, $6 million.
$700B for mainstreet indeed.
